Incorrect language for the app

If one of our applications starts in the wrong language, this is due to the macOS settings. Our applications are always available in two languages (English and German), sometimes even more than two languages. When an application is started, the languages set in macOS are read in the order of the operating system (see picture below) and compared with the languages of the started application. As soon as there is a match, the application uses that language.

As shown in the example below, the languages English, French, Spanish and German are available in macOS. If you now start the “Contract Manager”, for example, which supports the languages English, German and Dutch, the program searches for the first matching language and in this case finds the language “English” first. Thus, the Contract Manager is started in English.

Another way to launch an app in a different language is offered by macOS in the system settings. Go to “System Preferences => General => Language & Region => Apps” and add an app by clicking on the + sign.
